What is NuMamaSpa?

NuMamaSpa is in essence an event planning business targeted at creating home parties for new and expectant mothers to facilitate relaxation, socialization, and education. It’s based on the idea that when new moms get together without the interruption of wailing babies (or the anxiety of leaving them behind with a sitter), they will naturally unwind, connect, and learn from shared experiences.

New mothers AND mothers to be?

That’s right. We cater to new moms and preggers as well. We prefer to have parties where all involved are in the same boat. So we suggest a group of NuMamas with babies 0-6 months old. Future NuMamas (NuMamas-2-B) should be in the third trimester. In other words, pregnant enough to really NEED an afternoon off!

What do the home parties include?

Well, we like to call them “Pamper Parties” because both mommy and baby are pampered on-site.

Okay, fine Smarty Pants, what do “Pamper Parties” include?

We’re glad you asked. NuMamas receive spa treatments like facials, manicures, pedicures, and massages. Parties are catered and include drinks - yes, THOSE kind of drinks, you can always pump and dump - or smoothies if you prefer. NuBabies are cared for by qualified child care providers on-site but out of sight. Communication between care providers and NuMamas is handled discreetly so as to maximize the group’s ability to kick back and remain care free. In addition, we also have items of interest for sale at discounted prices. These are products or services that we’ve discovered, researched, or found to be of significant benefit in our own child rearing experiences. We have workshops, classes, Q&A’s so you can bond with your baby. There’s also a professional photographer available to document the afternoon’s joy and get candid shots of both Mamas and Babies. You can even request to have Mama/Baby portraits taken. Plus, all NuMamas will leave with a gift bag that includes sample products, coupons for local baby shops, and even a sweet treat. Finally, if you choose to host a Pamper Party, you will receive a Host’s Gift Basket stuffed full of goodies and freebies as our special way of saying “Thank you”.

Wow, that’s a lot! You probably have to be rich to afford this, right?

Not so fast. Our whole goal is to keep this experience affordable for all who want to enjoy it. If you live on a tight budget, it may be a luxury, but we believe it’s a luxury worth indulging. Imagine the expense of getting a baby sitter, going out to lunch, a bit of shopping, and an afternoon at the spa. Instead, we bring it all to one location and all you have to do is show up!

Yeah, but to host one I bet you have to be rich.

Okay,  you got us. To host one, you kind of have to be a little bit rich. Or have the keys to some rich person’s house. But if you are interested, please Contact Us and we will send you information.

What if there’s no way I can afford this? Am I just flat out of luck?

We’re passionate about serving moms and families who genuinely cannot afford the luxuries many of us indulge in regularly, and we do occasionally host events that are free of charge to a group of moms who are nominated by others to be pampered. We are committed to giving back to the community in whatever way we can, and are proud to give back to underprivileged families, active-military families, and others who spend themselves to benefit those in need.

I’m way too pregnant to lay on my back for a facial or my belly for a message!

While not a question, I’ll go ahead and answer this one. Instead of a facial, NuMamas-2-B (clever, huh?) will get an extended pregnancy massage. Your belly gets extra attention you and your baby will love. We also use adjustable prenatal pads designed specifically to allow late term ladies to lie face down safely and comfortably so you can enjoy a thorough rub down. Trust us, it’s been field tested and NuMama approved.

What if I’m a mommy with a great product to sell?

We’re both in luck! If you are a mom that has developed a great product or service that you believe can help NuMamas or Mamas-2-B, we want to hear from you. Contact us and let us know what you’ve got. If we love it, we’ll feature it at a future Pamper Party. And if you’re in the Los Angeles area, you can even set up a vendor table and demonstrate it for all the Mamas yourself.
